Ivan, I take it you never got the memo?
All DU fans are meant to be defending him to the hilt.

Not the ones I know Bluenose
He did a fantastic job for us but the fact is he's making a kant of this with the national team. I really do hope he turns it around and takes the team to the finals, I really really do, but I just can't see it happening.

Everyone else seems to be on the same boat, apart from a few

It could be worse, you could have a manager that ignores Ciaran Clark for Paul McShane. Or ignores James Mcclean just to play Simon Cox out of position.

Our best set piece was a quick one taken in the first half.

Aye, it was that bad Gary Caldwell was hitting better free kicks than Adam

What bugs me is CL says he wants 2 or 3 players challenging for each position in the team but he won't drop any of his favourites if they have a poor game.
We have plenty of midfield and wide options and Rhodes as another option upfront but Miller, Naismith, Morrison and Adam will all survive despite being awful on Sat.
Freshen the team up and show these players if they don't play well someone else will take their place. Miller is always awful, Naismith poor the last 2 games and didn't look fit on Sat, Adam was decent against Australia at least.
Give some others a chance to do better, the makeshift team against Australia played very well apart from Naismith, give them their opportunity ffs!!!

Fox and Rhodes were the only changes I think.
It was the same midfield that played well against Australia. I think it's a bit harsh to totally blame Levein for Saturday. He should have changed things earlier but I think his tactics for the start were right. Keeping it tight is vital for international football, he just waited too long to open up.
I think it was fair enough to play the same midfield as against Australia. Adam, Snodgrass, Morrison, Caldwell and Naismith are all playing in the English Premier League. They should be able to control a home game. They didn't turn up which isn't the managers fault. Once they're out there it's up to them.

Did Maloney not play against Australia too?

Maloney didn't start against the Aussies. It was the same midfield and defence apart from Fox.
