As a life long Man United fan (since 1973, aged 4, first team I ever knew cos my dads supported them since as an 11yo boy he heard them on the radio win the FACup in 1948) I often get the usual ABU pap like "Are you from Surrey?" "Plastic" "Glory hunter" blah blah blzzzzzzzzzz etc.
But a discussion on the Leeds page about their alleged huge overseas fanbase got me wondering what those who despise the people that use their freedom of choice to like whatever club they want, think about someone from another country liking an English team, or indeed any team from a country other than their own?
What's your opinion of overseas fans?

I've got Glaswegian folks, so when we were kids me and my brother basically had a choice. We both chose United, probably because that's who our mates supported (this was the end of the Tommy Doc era, if it had been Sexton it might have been a different story ), but I could have easily been on here droning on about rags if I'd chose different.
Everyone chooses their team these days. There must be some lunatics in the UK that support Barcelona or Real Madrid.

I think without those oversea's fans Utd wouldn't big as big as we are and not be able to buy some of the players we've had over the years.

I've never met a proper United fan and am not sure these mythical creatures exist.

Proper Arsenal fans are a rare breed as well, mostly kids that haven't encountered puberty yet
