The Cena character has, and will never in his current state, acknowledge his own flows or realise the consquences of his actions. You have to make allowances for that. I also didn't agree with his "just being me" argument as a vaild one in a big picture. His critic of Punk however was dead on, and the fact Cena was saying it amplified it.

Was basically the same modified tactics he used on The Rock, only this time they had relevance. What Cena failed to realise was The Rock is a franchise, and as a franchise he DOMINATES John Cena - tryin to attack the man behind the character is totally missing the point of why he's even a celebrity. If he'd have used the same tactics on Lesnar, they'd have had even less relevance.

However, attacking Punk's character (the freedom fighting rebel who prides himself on character evolvement) made complete sense given his most recent evolvement makes no frickin sense

Unless the swarve has yet to come, i'm strongly beginning to suspect he's currently heel just because WWE wanted a shock moment at the end of Raw 1000 and didn't plan ahead.

If punk loses to cena on sunday, I'm giving up on wrestling

The whole Punk heel turn has been a massive fail! Whilst i think Punk`s natural cynical and edgy persona lends him best to being a heel, the whole RESPECT thing contradicts the pipebomb CM Punk! Punk oozed integrity and pride and now to start demanding respect is the calling card of the tyrant!

Turning him heel should have been done much slower! Individuals of his depth require slow release heel/face turns.

I don't think anyone will disagree that CM Punk is better portrayed when demonstrating heel tendencies, but a major part of effective villainy in any creative process is the cause of the corruption. Without one, the villain is hollow, and this especially applies to the giant con game that is wrestling.

I remember Sir Digby telling me a month ago that to him it's as simplistic as Punk = heel, argo Punk = better. Why'll that may work for him, he gets to maintain his enjoyment of the product, i need that suspension of disbelief to be maintained in order to engage with the subjective reality in front of me, and things like this (characters changing idealogy on a wim) break it big time. But who knows, maybe Heyman's involvement will bring something to light soon. I'm not walking away from WWE anytime soon

By this i mainly meant punks charachter which is the best (and the only one i find entertaining) involves him being a heel. I can't see heyman agreeing to go with punk unless it was something great
