If not for my Dad

I wouldn't be a Man Utd Fan, growing up in North Wales in the 70/80s I'd probably support Liverpool or even Everton.

If not for my dad I wouldn't love Robert Wyatt's vesion of the Elvis Costello track 'Ship Building' or for a matter a fact I wouldn't of got in to Blues music or watch the 'Old Grey Wistle Test'

If not for my dad i'd of never read 'Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy' one of the funnyest books I ever read.

If not for my dad I wouldn't of watch 'The Wire' probably the best TV show ever.

what have your Parent/Grandparent even a brother or sister turned you on to that otherwise you may have missed.

If i had listened to my dad in the mid 70's i would have supported United, even though they were cack at that time.
Thank god my Mothers dad took me to Maine Road most weeks.

If not for my eldest brother I probably wouldn't have become such a big fan of the Boss and countless other great bands at that. If it wasn't for him I would never had the pleasure of reading David Gemmell's books when growing up. They're not going to win any literature awards but very entertaining none the less.

However if it wasn't for my Mother having a thing for George Best I would never have supported United. Cheers Ma you sl@g!!

If it wasn't for my grandad I wouldn't support United, he loved Rugby League but he liked United because of Sir Matt and the Babes. He told me the story and why it effected manchester so badly and since then I was hooked and started going to Old Trafford in the 70's. My brother got me into the manchester music scene and I've watched some great bands over the years (some god awful ones too!) and if it wasn't for my mum I wouldn't be with my wife!
