Grayson indicates Beckford deal isn't dead and could still happen next week. Ever get the impression we are looking to add to the squad and when we do Beckford is on his way?
I reckon whoever Pearson wants isn't quite available yet but will be hence when he is he will allow Beckford to leave?

I would hope we wouldn't let Beckford go without a replacement. There are rumours we tried to get both Sharp and Kane before the window closed, but couldn't and that's why we pulled out of the Beckford deal.

I really hope this is the case as I can't see the merits of letting Beckford go without securing a decent replacement. We're right not to get bullied into selling him by another club, Beckford himself or his agent. The deal should be right for us.
