My personal feeling on anyone being stripped of anything or charged is that they kept silent over what they knew then and found out subsequently.

Patnick may or may not have been involved in the smear and the cover up but he must have know at some point during the last 23 years that something was fishy. Like the 164 officers who had their statements altered, they may not have been guilty of the actual deed but they kept silent for 23 years and that is.

I hope all 164 at the very least are suspended from duty if they are still serving. Because of that one selfish act, they've undermined trust in the police and can any statement any of those coppers have made in the last 23 years ever be trusted? Same goes for Patnick.

It is all too little too late and if they really cared, they'd have blown the whistle themselves years ago.
