Not sure I only know because suso put it on twitter. Also kelly isn't injured there pictures of todays training and he's wearing a green bib so he should be starting

Gerrard can't play deep in Brendan's system, he tries too many long balls that never come off.
Downing isn't good enough to play LW in Brendan's system.
Brendan doesn't play 4231, he plays 433 and changing doesn't help the players. They're learning Brendan's system.

Joker, we aint got the players to play 4-3-3 effectively cos you need speed in the front two lines whether you attack or when the midfield defend.
He plays 4-2-3-1 to accomodate what BR has at his disposal.

Our players are more suited to 433 than 4231. Our strikeforce is full of wide forwards who are very suited to 433.
Also we are littered with attacking midfielders which is very good for 433. If anything we're short of players for 4231.
