ava i'm starting to go along with your predictions. Rafa has been a player and a half but this knee problem can't be swept away. maybe he can't handle the hard courts any longer?

given that 2 of the 4 slams are on that surface it's hard to see him win more than maybe a couple,
2 french and possibly 1 wimby would still b e some career defining story

Hard to know what the future holds for any of these players but I wish him a speedy recovery. He will come back when he feels the time is right.

None of us know how injured he is so making predictions about his fitness is impossible?

I am glad he is taking as much time as he needs to get fully fit and not risk serious permanent damage by coming back too soon.

I believe tennis needs him and Roger hanging round for a few more years. It's hard to imagine the tour without these two legends. We've had a taste of it recently with Rafa being out and surely even the most ardent anti-Nadal fan of tennis would admit he is a loss to the tour.
