Ive just finished week 2 of the Beachbody Insanity program. Its intensive cardio which I started because I wanted to cut faster and I have to say its really working well.
I had planned to lift on the two rest/recovery days to give my legs a break but due to my elbow injury I couldnt so I figured I would just do Insanity as it is.
In 2 weeks I already have the definition I had from before the summer so Im looking foward to seeing what I can do in the next 6 weeks especially when I can get back to lifting in week 5/6.
I would recommend this to anyone who is struggling to drop weight, its 60 days, you can add in lift days, its really intensive and if you are eating right you will definitely see results!

Just finished the first week of this.
I'm sore.
The damn recovery session hurts the most.

Ive never done the recovery workout, I just blast on through with the workouts.
Now that my elbow is improving Ive added in a couple of upper-body workouts to split the week up.

The recovery is actually prettyy tough. Warm up and whatnot aside it's basically 20 minutes of slow, deep squats and lunges.

Might give it a go on my upcoming recovery week. Im doing a P90X/Insanity hybrid of sorts.
I just finished Pure Cardio, I only had to pause once the whole video going at it full pelt.

Tonight is my last session and I've finished this damn Insanity plan in it's entirety.
I can honestly say my body has ached, ive been exhausted and thrown up more than once mid training.
But it's done now and it definitely worked.

Congrats, how is your fitness level now?

It's massively improved.
Turned out for our 2nd team on Sunday and lasted 65 minutes - played the 1st half in centre midfield then dropped back to CB.
Not a great pace ( 2nd team amateur football after all ) but quite an achievement for me as I started this with a really poor fitness level and haven't played competitively for quite a long time.
Planning to take a bit of time off ( few light cardio sessions and a bit of 5 a side just ) then going to try and have an run at " The Asylum " after Christmas. It's like the next level of Insanity, much more sport specific apparently and involves regular weights sessions.
If I get even close to the same level of improvement I'll be deighted.
I may not have finished wth a 6 pack, but I definitely benefitted massively.

Nice work mate, I use Asylum workouts on my Cardio days now sometimes. They are more sports-orientated but more fun because of it.
