Match Talk:
Right then my fellow yorkshire boys and girls lets get down to the ‘nitty gritty’. Lets have a look back to last seasons encounters and absolute cracker of a match at Hillsborough ending 4-4. Town very dominant in the first 20 getting into into a derserved 2-0 leave as the owls were just unable to cope with our powerful attacking prowess. Unfortunately we stood off and allowed them to pin us back and get into a 4-2 lead where we looked dead and buried only for jordan to have the last say scoring 2 goals to get us a 4-4 finish all 4 town goals scored by jordan.
At the Galpharm in my opinion town had a bad day nothing worked and the owls dominated us from start to finish and finished with a deserved 2-0 win.
Both teams were promoted and weve both had great starts to the championship in the first 5 games. Seems the owls had an off day Friday at brighton but I think that could just be a one off.
So being a town fan lets talk about the Terriers. What a great start 5 games with 2 wins 2 draws and only 1 opening day defeat which in fairness we deserved a point in too. Simon grayson has signed some great young player that look hungry to do well, have some brilliant individual abilities and we finally have a central midfield that like to put their foot in and make a tackle with southern and clayton, similar to last semedos dominance of midfield in league 1 for the owls.
Im ecstatic with town start and we look at home in this league so far, long may it continue. Even 38 years is fully of happiness and optimism for the season ahead.
I don’t think Wednesdays game will see the owls over powering us with strength and rough tactics this week as we don’t have the same soft players as last season they give as good as the get.
I don’t think they’ll be any starting 11 changes from Saturday so the team will be:
Smithies
Hunt lynch p.clarke© Dixon
Southern
Clayton norwood ward
Hammill
Vaughan
Only possible change would be to start scannell but not sure who I would drop. So will the owls prove to be truly MASSIVE or get shown up by the highest ranked yorkshire team in the football league…
