After finally getting his own way after a summer of sulking, our good friend modric finally got his move to real madrid. The thought of playing for a club steeped in history (of which most have been expensively paid for but they'll have you believe otherwise) and playing at a stadium graced by players such as jerzy dudek, michel pavon, Jose antonio Reyes, Walter Samuel and Royston drenthe, you'd think life would be great for Luka after answering the call from "the biggest club in the world".....
WRONG!!!!
Only 4 games played and already 8 points behind barca after last nights defeat at Sevilla, their 2nd defeat of the season. Hope he enjoys being stuck in the middle of the power struggle at Los egoticos between the spaniards (xabi alonso, casillas and Sergio Ramos), the moanrinho clique (pepe, di maria, coentrao) and the diva posse (ronaldo) before having to console ronaldo when messi wins yet another ballon d'or award.
Horrible club and a little rat who signs a long-term contract but can't wait to escape it when more money is put on the table, only to lie about only wanting to join real Madrid despite clearly wanting to go to Chelsea last year - they both deserve each other!

I agree that this wasn't the most diplomatic approach to seeking a move away. But you have to consider Levy's role (whom i totally support btw) in all this, is it coincidence that in recent times two players resorted to this underhand tactic? He likes to hold out for the best price clearly, and when there is a lot at stake it drives people to do silly things

Modric was not being sold to a PL rival. Madrid thought they could use this to get him on the cheap.

Mate you don't now but I think you did when your guys were playing for us....Modric was and always will be your no.1 chap so you see things from his point of view , myself and other Spurs fans are just as one eyed but we can only see things from our own perspective which is always in total favour of the club

There was always going to be a bedding in period - i guess that came across in my posts back on BBC 606.
It wasn't my intention to start supporting Spurs but I found following one specific team much more entertaining, rather than being a neutral spectator. A few years down the line, with a few games under my belt, daily reading of spurs' forums and entertaining football served up, i've become a fan. Which is why I am here today, with zero Croatians at the club, supporting the Spurs
