Form Guide

By my calculations, NP has now been in charge of Leicester for 38 league games, with a return of (W)15 (D) 8 (L) 15.

Assuming the same ratio of wins to draws and losses, that would give him the grand total of 64 league points (18,10,18) for a full season, which last year would have left us wallowing in 11th or 12th.

So should we be more realistic and expect mediocrity from what is (in my opinion) a fairly average squad? I'm not convinced the owners will be so patient.

Anyone know why we are playing next Sunday? Surely I don't have to watch us lose again on TV?

Tigers are playing on sky on the Sat and as we can't both possibly play on the same day sky trumps us...

Thanks.

I think we desperately need some consistency; calling for players to be dropped after a couple of average games and changing managers all the time after the first couple of months a season is not the answer in my opinion.

So I agree yes, we need to perhaps lower our expectations rather than calling for quick fixes. (But did the majority of us not lower them during the summer - so it would seem a little bizarre to come on here and moan about us not being good enough if one had already predicted this).

If you look at any team that does well in this league, they continue to start pretty much the same 11 through thick and thin (and this includes teams who have had much less quality than us) - this attitude of 'he wasn't brilliant, so drop him...' will just have us going round in circles me thinks.

I do however, think we need to settle on a back four and for me, I would want to get SSL in as soon as possible to see if he and Morgan can forge a partnership this term. Moore is a decent prospect, but extremely overrated at the minute for me and I'm not sure that is helping him.

I also think he is the slowest defender we have in the squad at the minute and although he actually looks like he should be quick, I don't think it will be long before teams work this out on regular basis.

I wonder if SSL would have started this week had he not have talked team tactics with the opposition ( Doyle ) while on International duty, bet that went down a bomb with Pearson!

Is that a joke, True Blue, or have I missed something obvious?

No joke, Doyle was quoted in a pre match interview in the Express saying that SSL told him he'd be playing full back so they wouldn't be facing each other head on!

That's hardly giving away inner sanctum secrets! If Pearson seriously thought St. Ledger was passing info to the opposition, he'd be in Ipswich by now.

I didn't say he'd given away inner sanctum secrets but telling the opposition anything pre game wouldn't go down well, tbh who knows what else was said?

If St. Ledger telling Doyle that he's potentially more likely to start at right back rather than centre back is in any way news, then I fear for Wolves' scouting systems.

Absolute non-story.
