Now that QPR are promoted, it is unlikely that Rob Hulse, who did not feature much in the promotion campaign, will get much time on the bench there, and even less on the pitch. So he may now be available for loan or transfer.
Not aware that he has been linked with us, but would you have him back? Wages may be a problem, as he probably has 2 years left on his contract which will be, for one season at least, at Prem rates
What do you think? Would this give us the 15-20 goal striker we need?
Rob Hulse

Kernow is right.
Move on I say. Nigel has to find a spark from those that aren't shining now. If they are shining, they usually aren't for sale. Good luck for the new season Nigel.

Hulse wont come back. He did not get along with Clough and Crosby.
Dont want any players like Howard or Oakley coming back with the age they are at. Take the rose tinted off!

Hulse wouldn't come back while Clough and his cronies are here. Yeah I agree it might be a backward step and I wouldn't sign him as we should be signing better forwards than Hulse. But on the other hand I don't think we have anyone better. Hulse wasn't the same after he turned down Boro' but he was getting alot of grief from the club for not going and the club getting £4m. Clough told him that once Porter and Davies where fit he wouldn't get near the team. He offered to take a pay cut and stretch his last season over 2 like Sav. but the club didn't get back to him. In the end he was offered 3 years at QPR playing for a manager who knows how to get out of the division. and Rob has a medal to show for it.

Ambergriff if you are correct that is appalling treatment of a fine servant of the club.
Anyone trying to defend Clough when he inevitably fails AGAIN just remember that and his treatment of Cywka and public abuse of other players.
And rating Porter above Hulse shows his professional judgement is pretty poor as well

he won't go to forest as he has too much respect for the Rams fans...altho' they have enquired about his availability

Interesting, hope you're right ambergriff. But money talks in this game and if Hulse isn't a regular and Forest match what he gets at QPR, I can see him being persuaded.
It goes without saving that I hope he goes elsewhere if he moves. I've criticised his performances as a Derby player, but I wouldn't boo him if he did join Forest.
