Summary of the game.....

All,

having watched the game yesterday it seemed like dejavu again playing away from home. we outplay most teams at times for long peroids and still not getting the result we deserve. I generally believe the standard of football we are playing is much better than last season. the problem of yesterdays game was the fault of the full backs, personally i think that getting rid of kennedy was a poor idea, and that now there is little competition for places as schlupp isnt a natural left back + sean st ledger should be playing centre back possibly pushing moore out to right back?, the positives are that the midfield is very fluid at times and that we are attacking in good numbers and creating a lot of chances we just need a little luck in putting them away.
those calling for nigel's job are stupid as it is down to the players to supply the results (cut out errors on the pitch). personally i think that there will be changes against burnley e.g dyer out knockheart in, da laet out st ledger in possibly to right back maybe a shuffle. Also maybe king out Danns in depends on the injury.

p.s danny drinkwater should be allowed to shoot from 20 yards plus lol

thanks
SF

We are just not getting anywhere at present.Strikers who cant score , defenders who cant defend especially set -pieces,and the same old results and excuses.
We have 2 wins, one by a pen, and the other against the worst team in the league.
Things have to change soon,we mst get 7 points out of the next 9.
As our strikers are so ineffective , would not Heskey be a goo idea for the rest of the season?
He must be a better option than the dross we have seen so far.

I love Emile, but if the problem is that we're not putting away chances, I can't see how he is the answer.

I am sure he would give 100% to the cause. Not sure at the moment our strikers are giving it best shot.
Nugent is out of form and not he player he was, Vardy runs around a lot , works hard but is like an untalented Paul Dickov,Beckford has had his chances, and Waghorn cant hit a barn door.
What have we got to lose ?

"What have we got to lose ?"

----------------

Based on Emile's previous shooting ability, several balls over the roof of the King Power stadium.

Dung , that is unfair.Heskey might have put one over the old East stand, or even the Filbert st end,but even he could not get one out of the Walkers, could he??
At least we would get some entertainment??
Remember when the balls used to go out of the old popular side and through some old biddies window!!
Happy days.

I believe she got a good collection going over the years and was distraught when we built a new ground.

"Remember when the balls used to go out of the old Popular side and through some old biddies window".

The only memorable moment from an evening match against Wimbledon (circa 1997) which we lost 0-1 was seeing the ball fly over the Filbert Street stand roof, hit a window of a house door and then roll along the kerb.
Then a face appeared at the door. I was in the Carling Stand and Sky cameras were present to show the world how easy it was to kick the ball out of the ground. So much so that they repeated it later.

For some reason I have a memory that Colin Hill managed to kick a ball out of Old Trafford or Wembley.

I too remember the Wimbledon game and the ball in the road, it had to Wimbledon as the ball never seemed to touch the ground.
I seem to recall that every time a ball went out of Filbert st an apprentice could be seen dashing down the tunnel to try and retrieve it.

The best thing of this kind that I recall did not involve City. It occurred during a televised match involving - I think - Shrewsbury, where the ball was hoofed out at the corner junction between two stands and could seen bouncing along a quite busy road outside. Whereupon a car stopped, a figure darted out to seize the ball and jump back in, and the car then sped away. All this was caught by the TV cameraman going to "zoom" with wonderful clarity. Maybe 6-10 years ago. Any one else remember this? It was a hoot.
