Walcott Contract Situation

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/sep/17/arsenal-theo-walcott-montpellier-champions-league?newsfeed=true

For all those who think Walcott will stay. Do you beleive he still will?

I dont think he is and I think he is hoping for a move aboard (pre-contract) for free, or a UK club in the summer worst case for him. either way its win win for him.

Personally some people thinking he will stay, are building themselves up for dissapointment (a la a recent dutch made by Wenger player)

Where does it say we have signed him? All the reports say that Real Madrid have agreed to let him go and we are the favorites. Liverpool came in the last minute and offered better terms.

or Are you saying that we were never in for him? Because thats revisionist bull.

In fact you original post is predicated on comments reported by the Guardian?

Why post the link if you don't believe what they wrote?

Its Guardians opinion that "Walcott's contract wranglings leave Arsenal manager exasperated".

This whole thread is based on that report!

It has also been confirmed by the club. Walcott has refused not to sign a contract. I am still taking it as a pinch of salt, but I posed a qeustion to all? My opinion is he wont stay?

I didnt say my club 'had a small club mentality', when I agree with them 100%.

Honestly I am not being facetious.

I can accept your point if the whole thing was created and we were never in for Sahin. But I am sure even you don't believe that even though Arsene never confirmed it.

Things happen at the last moment that scuppers deals. Its a fact of life.

And as I point out again. The whole thread is based on what you have read in the Guardian. But I suppose that enforces your opinion so your believe the report you quote.

Because they do! Players leaving is a sign of that. Its an opinion based on closely following Arsenal for many years having invested money in the club.

My original post Guardian article, If you read the article, most of it is quotes from wenger on an interview with him. So its an article with direct discussion on quotes from Wenger. Thats is credible enough, dont you think?

Maybe you should invest more. A proper investor would actually be very happy with the clubs financial dealings seeing that investment does have a positive return at the end of each year.

But hey, i am just a fan, 'supporting' my club.

A proper investor. Whats that then?

Arsenal don't have good returns because football clubs are not profit centers. They are marketing vehicles. However interest from very wealthy men like Kroenke and then Usmanov have super inflated the price. That allowed Fiszman, Carrs, Nina Bracewell-Smith make a lot of money at the expense of the team.

Thats is credible enough, dont you think?

You can't have it both ways. Either you believe what is written in papers or you don't. Quotes can often be taken out of context to support a theory.

As I stated to a couple of known Theo bashers in this forum, all will come out in the wash. No one can no whats going on. Arsenal are notoriously business conscious and they are not going to have gambled on the money that they were offered for Theo before the window closed, just for the hope of his signature. There is more going on than meets the eye.

I am not negating your opinion because 'you are just a fan'. I am also a fan. But it seems that its become fashionable to show your support without question. If you care for your club, that I am sure you do, look a bit deeper on how its being run. Arsenal have been aimless at board level since Fiszman sold up to Kroenke. Although I was never a fan of Danny he would have never tolerated the asset stripping that has gone on since Kroenke took over.

(fun as this has been, I leave the last word to you)

-----------------

You can, some are actual quotes of a manager. the same interview being viewed on the arsenal site or post match or pre match on whatever sports channel . As opposed to speculation and predictions and pure rumour which you claimed as 'newpaper reports' around transfers. BIG difference. I have seen articles around man city interest in Walcott yes, but its based on pure 'speculation'. Word that come out of the manager mouth on the other hand are not.

Its either fact or fiction.

The article above on Wenger is fact seeing I am going by what Wenger has said, Actual Quotes.

The speculation of Walcotts 'offers' from Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool are frankly fiction as nothing has come out of a AFC authorised individual let alone Wenger to confirm anything factual about it. So unless you are Walcotts agent, or member of the board, or affiliated to the club on any professional level, allong with evidence, then frankly that will remain a speculation, rumour, or plain out fiction.
