How many games do you think he can play before he begins to burn out? So far this season and contrary to OC I would've only played SKD as an impact sub and I probably would've been wrong as he has been our most consistent player thus far. It does worries me that OC has played SKD in every game and is due to start him again tonight against the Brum.
I know SKD is an athlete, but I was so much looking forward to seeing a front line of N'Gog/Sordell/Afobe either as a 2 or all three tearing the league apart and showing a new generation of the Wanderers. I don't think with the pressure on the team at the moment that we will see much of a change in personnel or formation, but that is provided our captain remains in tip top condition.
So, how long do you think SKD can last or will OC perceiver with him starting in every game? Sordell must be going crackers! I know Afobe is.

I really think he has it in him to be our best player this season, you know he will give it 100% and from a player like him that means he will always make an impact. It is hard on the younger players and I do hope they get a chance but with davies in the team I think we can be a side that relearns how to win ugly and we really need to do that right now.

I'd like to see an N'Gog + Sordell partnership at some point. Just because KD won't last forever and we need to start playing him less. Coyle seems to want to do this too, by starting to sub him and leave him out last season. KD is playing well at the minute though which makes it harder for Coyle to leave him out.
Personally, I think Afobe is rubbish. Well, he looked rubbish vs Watford.

Good question JAH. Think you've kind of gone on and answered it in the rest of your OP.
If fit, scoring and not tiring, I am sure he will start most league games. Difficult to drop your captain when he isn't playing badly.

Sordell needs to prove he is worthy of taking Kev's place. I haven't seen anything from him yet to suggest that.
His time will come as Kev will surely tire over a long season but whether he is good enough is another question.

I to would play him as long as he is playing well.
We all know that he is getting older but as the season goes on, Coyle will probably not have him training everyday. He will get his rest and be fresh for games.
I just hope that he can continue to be one of our better players throughout the season. I don't doubt though that at some time he will be rested and the younger players will get their chance. If they take it, they will stay in the team.

It isn't difficult to drop Davies IMO. I see it that Afobe and ol' fish eyes will be chomping at the bit for game time. I will be surprised if Davies plays more than 200 minutes in the three games this week.
So that means CEF is a liar.

Haha. I like everything about this comment.
Fish eyes, CEF being a liar. It's got it all!

My opinion of Davies, which has nothing to do with him or the form he is in, is, he would be the perfect impact substitute. Especially, in games like tonight, when with 20-25 minutes left we need a goal. The centre halves (in theory) having been run around by one or two quick forwards for the preceeding 65-70 minutes, would then be faced with Davies' physical presence for the remainder of the match.
