Police brutality in Madrid

Probably like many others when ive heard of this in the past ive thought no smoke without fire. Having now witnessed first hand the disgraceful behaviour of the spanish police i can quite believe it.
There was a bar across the road from the ground with the surrounding area packed with City fans all singing and drinking but causing no problems and the police just waded in with batons hitting people indiscriminately. There was a bloke in his mid fifties with his hands in the air being beaten on the back & legs by two of them and i saw a bloke knocked out cold from a baton to the head.At the airport afterwards city reps were photographing peoples injuries, some were a mess,to get the club to deal with UEFA about it.
Plenty of people were recording what happened on their phones, lets hope something actually gets done about it but i wont hold my breath.

English fans are treated appallingly in Europe (look at United at Roma and Lens, although I think Roma apologised to some of the fans that were beaten if memory serves).

Imagine what Platini would say if it was Biritsh coppers.

Porto away in the 90s, "lovely little fishing village"

got batoned by the police before the game causing a massive crush at the turnstiles, in the end you just had to leg it through not even bothering with tickets.

After the game had finished we got shot at with plastic bullets & tear gassed.

Seen trouble all over Europe but no ones bothered, were just english football supporters.

Dont bother with aways anymore, city fans who do get used to it.

I didn't see it personally but got told about it on the coach back to the airport. All day there wasn't an ounce of trouble, then this! Would like to hear what the Spanish police have to say about it.

PPLF, did you go with Thomas Cook or Sporting Options? If it was sporting options I have four words for you; Strategic. Airlines. Never. Again!!!

oh dear! I booked today off! Yeah we got dropped down that road as well. Ended up stopping at the little bar (shack) at the top of the hill, before heading to the square.

Spanish fans are usually OK, but the police still think Franco is in power.

"It is worst in Manchester. More dangerous at City than Madrid. £

Police in Manchester have never baton attacked fans who are doing nothing wrong, only if the fans are causing problems would police react unlike Spain apparently. What evidence do you have to support your ridiculous claim?
