I want ideally football and the leagues based on
the ethics of sport...not the stock market!

It wasn't a jibe, just to show you how flawed your comparison was, it is like saying you would rather go to your local karaoke for free, than watch Rihanna's concert for $12.

We can speak of economic "crisis" but there is a term in economics which deals with satisfaction...i.e Utility. If those fans derive $12 or more units of satisfaction then they'll pay it...especially with kids having these gaming consoles, HD TV's and games to boot.

I really am not sure what you are waffling about, what I am saying is that with United marketing and in response to PAGS. it isn't logical to compare watching Leeds for free and watching Man United for 12 pounds at face value, there are other factors, which I highlighted that would make watching United the better option.

On introduction to watching United, the young kids would get a chance to feel that pull as to whether they want to support United or another team, basically see it as window shopping/sampling a product.

You may live in some backwoods part of the world, as in reality, football is now about money, pure and simple, the more you can get, the better. That is what Man United is trying to exploit.

I am sure you would find that 9/11 gets more coverage that 1958. I was putting it nicely when I said "Has-beens", don't know what you consider yourself to be, I read an article on your boards a while back about how you were losing generations of fans. You cannot be a "proper football story" and have Mr.Ken Bates as your owner, fact is you too have looked to sell yourself.

"Football is now about money, pure and simple, the

What a fine example, an inglorious revelation by a
typical fan of Man United...talk about having your head
up your own a***...a convenient stick to beat other fans
with...I think you and the club you support are made for
each other...you may live in the backwoods of your
own world, but one day you may wake up and find the
world doesnt revolve around ManU...it may do now
thanks to the greedy inflation your club has set with
salaries and transfers over many years without any
legislation from authorities...and now ironically your
club is wanting a cap on the financial muscle of other
clubs...what hypocrisy, it beggars belief!

with his jibes then pretends he doesnt understand
what you're talking about...conveniently saves him from
answering questions you ask him!

Look around you sunshine...Man City, Chelsea, PSG, Malaga, United, Barca, Madrid etc. why do you think players go to these teams? Because they love playing football? Not always, it is about money, how much can I get. Clubs are now looking for more ways to make money due to FFP. Why do you think English football has been marketed around the world? You guessed it....MONEY!

Where did I ever say that the world revolved around Man United??? It isn't only United that want spending to be regulated, but 15+ other teams. If you don't spend within your means alot of clubs would go the way of Rangers once their owners had enough. So either way a team that has a solid financial muscle would still dominate.

Are you Sheesh's cheerleader? Nothing I have said here so far can be considered 'delete material' unless you are sensitive to certain truths. Next time I'll know to start every sentence "Leeds FC are the bestest team in the world".

Decidedly NJS (U8272)

I habitually come on where? I dare you to look through my history and find evidence that I 'habitually come on here'. I nicely answer PAGS because his points were easier to comprehend than yours. It seems you are harboring a bitter emotion towards Man United and it is coming out in your posts.

Yes Denis Law Ive heard it all before from you...the
'big club' bigot...you're the ultimate insecure fan with
a big club mentality...if I support a 'big club' then I will
be thought of as a 'big man'...a reflection of your
insecurities i'm afraid...not so much interested in the
football more I need a 'big club' to support!

I suggest you get a hobby, an interest...how about
football...you might find it's played outside of M'chester
..."a bitter emotion towards Man United"...yeah sure
I'm really jealous of your club...I wish we could
commercialise a disaster, sell cheap goods to people
around the world mostly poor and uneducated, inflate
transfer fees and salaries over many years on purpose,
so to have no competitive opponents...thank God I'm
not like you, I follow football to get away from finance,
if I wanted a forum about money, business and power
complexes I wouldn't come onto a football forum.

Your first paragraph makes no sense whatsoever.

As a matter of fact, neither does your second. I hope you do know that the so called smaller clubs are equally responsible for the inflation of fees. You put exorbitant prices on your players and then want to blame the buying club because you are met with equally exorbitant prices elsewhere?

You must do something with this bitterness, I suggest no more lemon/ lime angostura bitters or chips
