It is conceivable that Forest could be unbeaten by Sunday and only have 11 points (2 wins, 5 draws) whilst we could have 12 points, (4 wins, 3 defeats). Whilst we would be above Forest, which do you feel is the better scenario for progress this season.

While I'm doubtful things will end up this way, I'd go for points on the board. We're not even into the meat of the season yet and good form or good a run can be happened upon at any time. The more points a team have when they hit that form, the better the result.

Good question. Forest look like they've made a better start than us but that could look very different in 3 games!
I'd take our position if it did happen like that. That many draws feels like it would more likely turn in to more draws than wins going forward.

So the seasons finished has it? only five games played.
people saying we could be 6th or relegation fodder.
to early much to early to judge anything except well done Keane of Blackburn thankfully the fans don't pick the manager.

What do you mean 'only' 11 points?
That's considered quite a respectable total in some circles, you know.

Ultimately you are asking - 'after x games would you prefer x points or 1 more than x points....
Either way, x number of fans will be moaning that we haven't got x number of points or haven't played well in x number of games or....haven't got x number of points AND haven't player well in x number of games.
By the way, is x factor on this weekend?

I suppose I'm asking if that pattern is continued -
The only 11 was compared our possible 12.
The table would suggest we would have made the better start, but Forest are harder to beat. I suppose points are all that matter. I know it's early season, but is being unbeaten better than being inconsistent?

"is being unbeaten better than being inconsistent?"
Hold on a second. Forest are, indeed, undefeated to date - but I don't think there's a single reds supporter that has watched the games that would say we have been consistent in the way we have played. Indeed, my view is that if we carry on like we did on Tuesday night - someone is going to stuff us big time!

Are you saying Forest are inconsistent as I was led to believe you are playing good stuff? No, it's us who are incosistent, but if we win tomorrow and had you drawn today, we would have had a point more than you with inconsistent form.

As it turns out, we lost 2-1 and you lot appear to have had a very good home win against Hull (who had just beaten the team we lost against!). We are struggling to find the right formula........and we have a dodgy defence! It will all come together though!
