Save yourself the worry

im starting to have the same feelings myself.now uncle owen has taken us into the darkness gone have the hour highlights on football first and the 5-10 min highlights on match of the day.instead we have at the witching hour on sat night on bbc1 the football league show! a worthy programme always worth a watch but as a replacement for the previous it is sadly found wanting.occasionally we may as we were against burnley be the featured game where we got 6 mins or so.as a rule though we will get the 1min 20secs we got v hull and watford where we will get the goals no replays or different angles mind and the odd standout miss,save or sending off followed by a brief word with uncle owen sometimes in his suit as he was after the watford game. midweeks games are worse!no football league show then!obviously the bbc think it beneath themselves to run such a show when the football world is concentrating on the champions league.all we are left with is seconds of highlights of each championship game on sky sports news sometime after 11pm.i think all last nights games were covered in about 6 mins.im not sure who is most to blame for this current sad state of affairs.the bbc,sky or owen coyle.

Yep, it's begining to hit home with me as well.
Unless you want to live nocturnaly, trying to catch one of our games condensed into 45 horrific seconds(perhaps that's not such a bad thing at the mooment!).
We are definately established in the media backwaters of football, mentioned only as an afterthought at the end of sports bulletins, if we're lucky.
The next time we warrant a mention at the top of the sports pages will be when we sack Mr Coyle.
So maybe not long to wait!

does anyone here have a link to the highlights of last nights game?

the last time we were not in the premier league itv had the rights.we had to wait till monday night after 11 for a similar show that bbc have now.however midweek we had decent highlights on granada late on.still got some games kept somewhere in the house on vhs of the 98 points 100 goals championship winning season.

The highlights were good, can't really complain.
