Higginbotham set to leave on loan

Tez, Just think Higgy is a better all round player then Arfield. I Just think that Higgy should be in front of him in the pecking order. When he went out to Barnsley he was called back when he played so well, then NOT given a chance with us. By the way one game at Cardiff does not make him a good player, very inconsistant player for me. !

I think higgy and arfield are two different beasts positionally in what they offer.

arfield is a midfielder who can get forward and support..
higgy is a oposition half player who goes where he likes and can get back and cover etc..
I have nothing against arfield, he does work quite well with hunt..
I like the idea of more options than less in a squad..

I like Arfield and i too think that Higgybum has shown enough to warrant being given another shot at the first eleven, Its a long season and we will at some point be riddled with injured first teamers, Maybe CH aint quite doing enough to make the matchday squad, Maybe he aint the best trainer ? Who knows i dont.

Dont think Higgybum is better than what we have in the first eleven, So better to let him off ther leash some where else for a while rather than kicking around in the stiffs., I also do not think he can fit into Larrys current 433 set up, Saying that, I also do not think Rhodes could have played as the man up top as JV has been doing,, Why the foo has Elsie not been back in for some of his signings ?????

Out of a bench of Bennet, Woods, Gerrard, Arfield, Scannel, Lee and Spencer I would put Higginbotham in there over Lee or Spencer any day of the week...
Spencer is the type of player we should be loaning out to League 1 or 2 depending on his progress.

True Billy, So would i,,, Spencer should be loaned out again, Maybe another who would benefit playing for Carlisle or Brentford, Or down the Orient under the watchful eye of skipper Clarke,,, Then again they can only go on loan if somebody wants them on loan !

I am pretty sure a number of lower end League 1 clubs would take Jimmy on loan, he had a pretty decent spell at Morecambe finishing their second top scorer in 2010/11 and played over 40 games last season at Cheltenham...
By all accounts he looked feisty if not exactly refined in pre-season.

Feel a bit for him to be fair,he signs,revelation on his debut,Clark gets the sack in after his second game for Town, Grayson is appointed,Grayson doesn't fancy him,Grayson sends him out on loan to Barnsley,comes back figures and is great in final game of season and play offs,we win promotion he plays in final,frozen out this season and is sent to the frozen wastes of Cumbria.

He's a decent player and is deffo worth a place on the bench.Obviously Grayson doesn't rate him and he can't be accommodated in the current starting 11 that's for sure,given the form of the current starters,but as I say I rate him. He should be used more from the bench,although at the minute we've got Scannell on the bench so I suppose he won't be selected in front of him.
