Well, what to say after that.
Well, first of all, the average age of our team tonight with Gylfi on was just under 24!
When I see that, I see a future, Naughton and Caulker, both with successful prem loans last season both looked very comfortable, Caulker in particular really will be our future.
Dembele is a power house, his passing is very good, and although not quite as good as modric, his influence on the game is just is big, going forward he powers through players and is so strong on the ball. Defensively he is stronger too. Him and Sandro together are starting to look very strong indeed.
Defoe playing deeper of the two was very interesting to me, it really appears that he, whether his own choice or not, is changing the style of his game, whether that is because of age or playing time I dont know.
I thought it was a good all round performance and on another night we would have won, A very mature performance from such a youthful team, and the team as a whole starting to gel
With players such a Gylfi, Naughts, Caulker etc on the bench when Kaboul and Benni return, our strength in depth will most certainly provide great competition and raise performances.
I really cannot wait for QPR now!
My Thoughts (Probably boring!)

Ted sounds like you're blinded by your dislike for AVB.

i think you have to be retttttarded to dislike avb at this stage....it sort of makes sense the first three games, understandable i suppose if you dont watch football, but i think after tonight, come on,,,come on

Take no notice of Ted, he is about as fickle as they come.

Good points tottenhamboi, I agree we probably would've won tonight with Ade in the side.
Naughton started well but once they figured out he doesn't have a left foot he struggled and it slowed down things on the left. We need Benny back.
Caulker is class, he should be starting in the league IMO.
All in all a good performance against an in-form Lazio that came for a draw.

tottenham fans aren't fickle sandy...we are demanding...i demand absolute solid gold creative prowress and an ability to insult opposition with flair and flamboyance, but would accept a nice flick and a nice string of passes, for some they want it all

Defence was solid as a rock tonight. Naughton's technical ability has impressed me, very tidy passing and great crossing.
Caulker and Vertonghen look like a good pairing, with the potential to be something special.
Lloris wasn't tested much but came for everything and was vocal. Looked very assured.
Dembele has an amazing ability to keep the ball as he runs, even when it looks like he's lost control it seems to deflect back into his path. Gave the ball away with his passing a couple of times but otherwise was excellent.
Sandro was well drilled and loved seeing him cover for Verts, Walker and Naughton during their forward runs. Mature display.
Defoe and Lennon have an excellent understanding which we haven't seen properly for a couple of years, looking forward to seeing this again and the players making more of it in the future.
Overall an impressive display and never felt nervous against a good side, tactically superb and

Meant to say we were tactically superb and looks like things are starting to click!

To be fair we were a class act tonight and the future looks bright. Lazio should have been down to 10 men, and although we bemoan the lack of strikers we found the back of the net three times, two of which should have counted. Poor refereeing cost us that game.
