Miracle signing........

As it is obvious we are not very competitive on the transfer market for whatever reason....the question is can a single signing get Arsenal back to cup winning ways?

I think yes...but sadly it would have to be that of a new manager!!!

Your opinion?

@21 Gun Salute - I would like to know who also!

My idea replacement would be Guardiola, I love the man! It's his last year at Barca, hopefully he doesn't renew, I'm not sure if he can handle it, he looks burnt out to me. He'll take a year out and after join us, by that time Wenger's contract will be finished.

I think we should outspend Man City, Chelsea and United. AND get MOURINHO too!

Its not as though Wenger is irreplaceable. Take Hiddink for example. Or lets get O'neill in, or just to ssip off White Hart Lane, make a move for Red Nose Harry.

But the gist of it is that Wenger, yes despite keeping us, only just, in the top four, is looking more and more unlikely to be able to do so this season and in future.

UNLESS, he has an about change of mind and heart and stops managing for the boardroom alone but takes us the fans into consideration. Look where his "spend little expect everything approach" has got us? Nasri wants to leave as does Cesc. RvP is talking about re-inforcing the squad!!!

When given the money to spend on re-inforcing the squad as in the past two seasons, Wenger does not and as a result w have come close but not close enough. Now what makes you think that this same approach will now result in cups?

IMO, it may be time to start considering life after AW, with a manager who is not scared to take the bull by the horn and get the players we need t win things.

It's got us a shiny new stadium and almost clear of debt. It has kept us competitive in the age of billionaire sugar daddies.

The club's financial position is improving every season, bringing us closer to the point where we can compete financially with the other big clubs without risking the future of our club.

We all knew the move to the emirates would leave us struggling on the pitch for a few years and now that period is coming toward an end you decide THIS is the perfect time to call for a new manager?

Would you prefer to be in Liverpool's shoes, no trophies for 5 years, no Champions League and rampant overspending merely to try to catch up?

Is this not where we are heading mate? Honestly, with our shiny new stadium and all?

That stadium was built on success...not on potential. When we built that shiny new stadium we were winning things. If we dont get back to winning ways how will wefinish paying it off?

Do you expect fans to pay the highest ticket prices to see a loss to Wolves followed by one to Birmingham? Do you expect that Arshavin or Gervinho is going to be signing a sponsorship deal with Lucozade of which we will get some benefit? I dont think so!

We need to get the players in who can bring results for us to continue doing well financially. At the moment by not spending our money we are only saving money and not growing it by investing it in players who will bring results.

You have ubfortunateky got to spend money to make money....

It may be my imagination but I thought Guardilolalala only signed 1 year contracts.

I'm sure Guardiola is a good coach but come on, the Barca team picks itself.

Arsenal would be best to wait a few years and see how he does at a team without the likes of Messi, Villa, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Pique, Pedro etc.
