can he rise to the status of van persie, rooney? and I think Rooney is world class! anyway back to welbeck, I think he needs to up his game, I can't him at the moment being a 20 plus goals a season player
i dunno for me something about him is not screaming world class potential, anyone else feel the same?
does it matter if he doesn't become world class or prolific?

That reminds me of Rivaldo. He moved around as though one of his legs was 10cm shorter than the other.

No. He will become a decent player but he is not a natural finisher like Owen, Villa or Hernandez. His all round game is good but he will not become world class striker because he is not a natural goal scorer.

I am a fellow gainsayer of Rooney's 'influence' in our team but Welbeck has in no way, shape or form showed the exceptional promise that Rooney USED to show.
