So 6 games in and not only are we unbeaten, but we're top of the league.
My view on Kean hasn't changed at all, we are still tactically naive. Yes we're scoring goals, but the organisation of the team is poor, particularly the defence and midfield. I actually don't think our defensive issues are down to personnel - Robinson, Orr, Givet, Dann and (an) Olsson should be good enough at this level - it is down to organisation and the lack of support from the midfield.
Murphy is a big problem for me. With his (lack of) legs, you cannot play him with Etuhu and 2 attacking wide men. After being made captain there is no doubt that he will start. Based on that, my starting 11 would be...
----------------------Robinson-----------------------
Orr-------Dann-----------------Givet------Olsson
Lowe------Murphy---------Etuhu--------Olsson
-------------Gomes-------Rhodes-----------------
Lowe isn't a particularly exciting right midfield option, but I think we can get away with at least one work-horse wideman to provide support to the central two.
Also disappointed we didn't make a loan move for Warnock.
Thoughts?
Starting 11

Pedersen will definitely start

Crazy how far Warnock seems to have fallen since he left us, he was awesome before moving to Villa! The Ewood curse strikes again it would seem.

I'd start Fabio Nunes on the left if Marcus Olsson isn't fit, he looked much better than Pedersen when he came on on Tuesday and put in a fantastic cross to set up the winning goal.
I'm also wondering where Vukcevic has disappeared to, I really think he could be quality out wide on the right if he got a game or two, the guy has Champions League experience and yet he's not even on the bench in the Championship.

Vukcevic went out on loan I think rob. Not sure where

I think he's still at the club

Our luck could not last forever. We were very poor AGAIN, but this time could not rescue the result late doors. Boro deserved to win by an easier margin.
Anyone getting carried away with our lofty league position needs to reign themselves in as the principal problem we continue to face is that ALL and sundry find it so easy to score against us.
Without clean sheets I doubt we will finish in the top two.
Kean Outed.
