With Agger looking like he might be injured (I hope not though), who do you think BR will put in his place, Carra or Coates? In my opinion I would choose Coates as he just seems like the better option, hes quicker, better at tackling and can get forward more. The only thing going for Carra in my opinion is his experience.

Coates I would hope.
Carragher is a good organiser and a modern day legend, but he has made horrendous mistakes in the last couple of seasons.
Crucially though, Agger causes our defence to play deeper. Under Rodgers system this will lead to gaps between the defence, midfield and the attack. For this reason alone it should be Coates.
Agger will be a massive loss if he is out for any length of time. He is easily one of our best players.

I have to agree with you Aggers, Carra has been playing better recently in this new system, he seems to actually want to pass it rather than just hoof it for a change. But I would still go with Coates.
On another note, does anyone know how long Lucas is supposed to be out for?

I am sure it will be Coates.
He stepped in when Agger was suspended, and has played well in every appearance this season.
