There's only been one game so far, Torres was pretty poor, made a couple of good runs but he also lost possesion to many times for me and missed a free-header. Sturridge was probably the best forward in the first half but wasn't revolutionary, made a couple of good runs and has a free-kick on target and at least kept possesion. Josh was pretty good and played some good passes as well as a couple of good dribbles

what about versus wycombe, scored a good goal but agree against pompey still looked lacking in confidence.

Wycome game was behind closed doors. According to the Wycome 'keeper Kakuta and PVA were the best players there

well, we still have drogba and anelka in case torres doesn't regain fitness (which is looking very likely). Its quite a shame, he used to be very profilic and would have been a great asset but now who have to look elsewhere. I hope we get lukaku.

tbh if you count both games he has 1 goal and 2 assists. Hes still not looking at his best but hes having more of an impact which is positive at this early stage of pre season

we have to sign Lukaku though the kids going to be world class

he did better at the wycombe match but was alright against portsmouth all our strikers looked rusty and poor tbh. Sturridge was quiet and i dont think he deserves the praise in the post above. Torres should have scored that header though! ill wont judge until we have seen a few more matches
