"Alexandre Doni's transfer from Roma to Liverpool has fallen through. The goalkeeper was reported to have signed for Liverpool over the weekend but since then Liverpool have plead with Roma to take the Brazilian back to Italy.
The reason for the cancellation of the transfer is yet to be confirmed but sources from inside the club claim Liverpool were put off by the fact Doni would come to the club on a free transfer. It is now believed Chequebook Kenny will focus his attention on bringing back average at best English International Scott Carson to Anfield in a goalkeeping record £30M deal."
