Great win for the lads. Nobody expected it and we had nothing to lose. Tonight we played with freedom and flair and a little bit of luck to. Then again how often has luck come our way down the years?
Well Done Lads and Lambo and a cracking comeback from last saturdays mess. Lets do over the baggies now and it'll be a stellar week.
Man City 2 - Aston Villa 4 !!!!!!!

Fntastic result and im delighted to see Gabby back playing well ... He must be a sure starter now on sunday along with Zoggy after tonight's performance. Bannan and Weimann to be left out and maybe even Bent. Gabby needs to play up top, defenders hate playing against his pace ...

the question is can you carry it on into the league?

Chronic - I think 90% of Villa fans would same the same thing - "maybe".
I'd expect us to cause a few upsets this season while getting beat by some of the poorer teams. We'll probably get smashed once or twice too.
The squad has potential but is very young (the youngest in the league in terms of squad players who will feature for more than a few mins) and is going to be inconsistent from week to week. We're looking at a bumpy ride to somewhere between 12th and 17th I'd say. Don't bet on any game involving Villa.
Liverpool and Spurs are in a similar boat - new manager, new system, new ethos. I think all three teams will finish lower than would be expected (if you take the last few years into account) but this season is about building for all three - it's a means to an end not an end in itself.

I expected it......
Over £500 richer cheers Villa!
I was so impressed because you even rolled back the years with even Barry scoring for you.
In all seriousness great team, great fans, well deserved.

Modric - you must have nads like wrecking balls. Was that part of an accumulator?
