I had the original Championship Manager game for PC by Domark in 1992. It was painfully slow on my 286 machine. Before that, I had Football manager and Match Day for the ZX Spectrum in 1986, which shows my age.

Can't beat Match Day 2 and Emelyn Hughes International Soccer on the Speccy, Kick Off 2 (1 meg) on the Amiga and for comedy value, Microprose Soccer on the C64.
I spent years of my young life playing Tracksuit Manager on the speccy, pre-CM/FM. Ah, those were the days!!!

Illegally I cant find a copy but if you are willing to splash out the princely sum of 1p you can buy it on Amazon.

The first footy related game I played was probably Footballer of The Year 2 on the Amstrad. A mixture of trivia questions and a part where you had to control your player to copy tactics seen earlier to score.
Glad I dont have this on emulator these days as I would probably be beaten by the questions.
