Since we were discussing SAF has favourites, it got me thinking that we probably do as well, even though we would like to deny it.
There is no real test I have found which confirms whether I favour player-A or B but one thing normally works. If two players make the same mistake I am normally more angry at the one who is lesser favourite (even though I try to deny it to myself).
So lets hear it:
Nani or Valencia
Lindegaard or DDG
Cleverly or Anderson
Welbeck or Chico
RVP or Rooney
Also please note that it is not about choosing one player over the other in the team as we can see all of these pairs have played together and will do in future as well (apart from the goalkeepers obviously).
If someone asked me to choose then I would probably go Nani, DDG, Anderson, Chico and Rooney.
Don't get me wrong I support all our players and I am equally excited whether RVP scores or Rooney, whether Valencia plays a great cross or Nani has a great shot at goal, whether Clev plays a killer pass or Ando, but this is mostly about how each one of us views the game and we always see here on our board that even after watching the same game we come out with very different views about a player.

To be honest some of these are quite difficult. I don't really have a very clear favourite between Clev and Ando. Also Welbeck and Chico both equally frustrate me sometimes. So both of these are very borderline for me.

In most instances it really depends on the opponents to be fair. Each of the players listed have different attributes that can make them more suited to play in certain games.

Elvis it is not about which player is better suited to which game. It is just plain and simple about whether you have a favourite between the pair (and as I explained it not easy to know as we want to support all our players!)
