Boycott for the Wolves match

Seems as though brfcs are getting into gear to start one:

Seen a few things on facebook as well. Would any ST holders on here join in with one?

Hmmmmm……donate money to a dormant bank account of the girlfriend of someone claiming to be a supporter?

No thanks

The guy organising it has organised pretty much all the major protest campaigns since they started, he's well known on brfcs for being straight as an arrow.

I go with my mother to games. She has bone marrow cancer of the pelvis and shoulder and cancerous hot spots running down her spine. I like to drop her off close outside the ground, leave a little bit early and pick her up from the same spot.

I dislike VenKean with a passion. I never thought Kean should have been recruited and then wanted him out after 8 games or so in his FIRST season in charge. I will be partying long and hard with all the rest when he is gone.

If it was just me, like many others there is no chance I would have renewed my season ticket this year.

But it is not just me, my Mum is not sure how much time she has left and likes to watch the Rovers as she has done since the 1950's. She is not a fan of Kean or the Venky's, but loves the club and all it used to represent and stand for.

My Mum is more important to me, than my dislike for these charlatans. In other circumstances I would support any boycott fully, but at this time I will look after my mother if need be at the football and attend the games.

It is clear than non-attending fans are a key issue to the Venky's. However, many of us have our own reasons for attending the matches and although I fully support the attempts to remove Kean, for my own personal reasons I will still be in the ground on matchdays.

I renewed mine and my grown up kids s/t's as I couldn't(or didn't)want to believe it could get worse but it so obviously has.
I've fallen well out of love with footy in general and after the effort, passion and inspiration of the Olympics and Paralympics, we start the new season with tales of youth team players racing and crashing their big motors and experienced men refusing to shake hands and move on.
The returning scandal of Hilsborough brings back home the shabby way fans have always been regarded.
I have been to Ewood this term and it is a painful and bitter experience, regardless of results or league position I will not return until Kean has gone.
I appreciate that we are Rovers fans and not kean's or Venky's, but I cannot justify Keans position by suffering such pain.
Gates of 6-8,000 should oust the odious rogue?

C'mon you blues...from a distance for now ;(

OOJW You keep going with your mum to the games as I wiish I could say the same.Respect to you Sir and hope you and your mum have a long time still to go to the games.

Sigh - OOJW, GFP - your differing stories just illustrate the impact of a community club like Rovers can have on people's lives. Star - you have a diff story I know. I have fallen out of love with most football and am actually preferring to play it myself (when I'm not lying up injured) than to spend time watching these overpaid tarts. Thinking about what these players mean to us - ehm not so much actually. The days of the Claytons etc is long gone - even the Tugays/Salgados who seem genuinely to believe in their luck in being professional sportsmen, even their time seems to be up. Sad, sad, sad.

Yeah Ewood Park its not been a nice place to go to since Keans tenure!I scan the footy news and gossips every day hoping to read Kean has gone!It is still my club and always will be but I hate whats happened to us!

The only Rovers players I truly admire and respect these days for their loyalty to and affection for the club are Dunn and Pedersen. I agree the rest are true mercenaries, as are 95% of players these days.

Hope your mum rocks on for a while yet OOJW. I lost my mum in June and my life has changed greatly. Show her and tell her your love, because when the sad day comes, it means f all. Mums are greatly under rated, as are our fathers, we do not understand them until its too late.
Peace.

Thanks for the nice comments. I was not after sympathy, but it is still nice to see the decency in peoples replies.

I was just highlighting the point that to go or not to go often has little to do with the Venky's and we must all do what is best for ourselves and families.
