First game is coming

At last, tickets for Brighton went on sale yesterday. According to the Keepmoat Stadium website, 616 have been sold out of an initial allocation of 1000.

This seems a fairly good take up to me. I know it's the opener, but it's still a fair way. Good to see we're starting off with a strong away following again. I really can't wait. It's been soooooo long!

Me and my lad have got ours. Anyone else on here going down?

Will Billy be on the coach to Carlisle?

It will be a bad sign if he doesn't play!

If he does play I feel that he will start the season for us.

NY

I hope so Alex, but I should look at things next week when it may become clear as to why we are now looking at offers again. I think Billy is always going to be on somebodies radar if he continues to score and especially if we start b adly in terms of wins. Billy can still score and we lose, forcing clubs to come after him and the Board to look to selling. As has been said before, he does not belong to the club, he was bought by the Directors who may want to cash in on their investment.

I think if you look at Birmingham they have a need for a striker, Jerome is on his way out, the Croatian has gone or is going and Phillips is in Blackpool. It is also a lot closer to Sheffield with more life and he could be in the Premiership next season.

Well Billy's played 45 minutes against Mansfield but he did appear to pick up a slight knock or strain at the cricket last night (not sure how much was gamesmanship though)

Birmingham have more of a striker crisis than first appears King, Jerome and Zigic are all injured but if buying Billy depends on sale of Jerome then they may struggle.

Well Billy played 45 mins - might as well not have though. Mind you he did get clattered early on and seemed to take a while to get over it.

Do I detect a slight degree of reality Donny Lass? Have the rose coloured specs dropped a little? You usually find some thing to praise in a Rovers performance. Was it that bad that there were no redeeming features?

Oh there were positives. Naylor looked far better than I'd expected, really solid. Friend and Spurr linked up well. We've gone back to building from the back rather than lumping it forward and Bennett and Baxendale look very lively in midfield

2nd half was just an outing for the trialists, one of the CB's looked OK and I wouldn't mind if we signed Vine. I didn't have time to say a lot last night because we were enjoying a night out in Carlisle :D I just wanted to point out Sharp had played so the knock he picked up on Thursday couldn't have been that bad.

Bring on the Blades on Tuesday
