fat or fiction see what i did there? no? nevermind...does anderson need to lose weight or he is just built like he is? i think if was to lose to weight then he wouldnt be able to power through the midfield like a bull, which is a marvel to see.
then again we complain if a player is too skinny and call him lightweight and gets knocked over too easily!!
look at ronaldo the original and maradona, they werent the slimest players but argubly both the best players in the world and way anderson runs past players reminds me of the them would do the same
i think a players 'bulkiness' gives them a steely advantage as long as they can pull it off e.g ronaldo
does this makes sense to anyone
anderson - fat or fiction?

Anderson's weight is not a problem - as long as the centre of gravity is at least below his knees.

When Anderson gets injured (which he does, a lot), he puts on weight. Fergie has touched on this before with him and Rooney - its just the way they are built.
Normally when you see Anderson on the pitch, he is coming back from a lengthy lay-off, and so does look a little too stocky. But I think that if by some miracle he manages to stay injury-free for a sustained period of time, he'll be looking quite a bit leaner.

Of course its a problem playing in CM is energy consuming
CMs have to be the fittest players in the squad along with the full backs
They're the ones constantly running up and down the pitch

If you do not play regularly, you lose some fitness. Some lose body mass and pace, others gain weight.
There is a point about being able to play with some weight. Any basket ball fan will tell you how it can make the difference when it comes outmuscling a player of lesser weight. Also as mentioned, Ronaldo (original) had always played with a bit of weight when he went to italy. He could ride tackles and just keep barreling down on goal. Even with a clear pot belly, he was still more than dangerous at riding the tackles and taking his chances.
Then ando isn't 29 though and is also not ronaldo. I am not worried though. With that weight he can last 70 minutes, just as much as giggs and scholes, our star midfielders seem to be at their most effective. More games will certainly improve this.

He is fat as is our Rooney. But he an exceptional talent but i don't think he would ever fulfil his potential for us.
