Front Six

Anderson Cleverley

Nani Rooney Kagawa

RVP

Why does Sir Alex ignore the reality, Anderson and Cleverley have the energy and the quality to handle midfield's like Tottenham's for the whole game, have done so in the past and have never let the team down yet they sit on the bench when they should be on the pitch getting even better.

At least when he brought Rooney on, the front 4 was right.

Is that the same Ando and Cleverley who were dominated by Dembele against Fulham?

Don't get me wrong, I think Carrick and Ando is our best partnership. But Cleverson is tactically inept against bigger sides.

Where was Dembele when United ran riot in the first half
He had a few good runs but was generally outclassed. As I said Cleverson has NEVER failed.

It's called wear& tear...
But I agrees with ya.

Its time the old times stay on the bench and only come on the last 20 to 30 minutes, had Ando been in that team we would have probably won, nani was good but didnt have the support he needed in the first half, when rooney came in Nani shined because now there was someone to run around and give him the pass or dummy option

Our best football since 2008 has came with Cleverson running riot in midfield. People can push the myth of 'protection' all day and night but Scholes and Carrick offer none either. They create the impression that they do because their lack of legs makes them play deep. Cleverson is the answer.

Kagawa

You're forgetting how forward Carrick got today and the great through passes he was playing to people.

Scholes may not have the legs but Carrick is clearly our best midfielder and is paying the price in supporters eyes for having to do the work of 2 or 3 men!

Cleverson have never had a real test so we can't say with any great honesty that they'd be a great partnership in the biggest games.

I'm not saying they won't, more that we just don't know.

Carrick was garbage today. I lost count of the times he misplaced his passes. He's had poor start to the season. Cleverson helped beat Arsenal 8-2 and Spurs 3-0. Do you want them to play Barcelona? Or would that not count either?

It is going to take injuries and I do not want to wish injuries on our players so we can get the right team on the field.

They beat Barca in pre-season last year.

We're going past the days of 2 man midfields. We need to play Carrick alongside both Anderson and Cleverley.
