Hi all
Could you all help me out with something. Small as it is, its been bugging me all day and I'm not a big golf fan so my knowledge isnt that good.
Scores were 13-14. Tiger Woods had to chance to win the match and take the scores to 14-14. He missed his putt and he conceded. So Molinari and Woods both shared a point.
If Tiger didnt concede and Molinari took his shot and putted it, would he have won the match or would it have been halved?
I cant seem to remember how many shots the both of them were on at that point.
Could someone clarify what happened in laymans terms
Thanks
Tiger Woods / Molinari

Think ive got it now. Stil cant understand why Tiger gave him the point to even up the match.

Mr C
Tiger explained this in the post match media conference.
He said it was because europe had already retained the Ryder Cup by then, so halving the match didn't matter to him.

It's not like he had a massive putt to make and the cup had already been retained. I don't think Tiger was standing there thinking, right I need to make this to make ladbrookes richer

Woods missed his putt for par
Molinari had one for par

if Molinari had sunk his putt he wouldve won the hole leading to a tied match and Europe winning the ryder cup

How did Tiger know Molinari would sunk his putt though? They could have ended the Ryder Cup with a score of 14-14. Instead Tiger forfeited and the score was embarassingly 14.5-13.5 in favour of Europe
