According to Seth on Radio DeeDar, he said he was reliably informed that our trialist at Hartlepool last night, under the name of Fernando was in fact Ricardo Jorge Vas Te', a former Bolton Wanderers player.
He is a 6'2", a Portugese U21 international, but with only 10 league and cup goals in 102 appearance's, with 4 clubs, in 8 seasons, not really inspirational but with Hillcrofts Bolton background he obviously has a bit of knowledge about this player....

Weren't we linked with him a season or two ago as well?
I don't think that'd be a bad signing at all.. Especially on a free..

OK, lets weigh it up.
He is free, always a bonus, but you have to ask why he is free.
He's been released from Hibernian, why? Was he.......... injury prone? wanting too much money? not good enough?
These are the negative niggling thoughts that I have.
Now for the positives,
Bolton thought highly of him during his time there, and only through injury did he not make it.
Because of all his setbacks, he could well be hungry for football, and put a shift in.
He is 6"2 and quick, always a bonus (hopefully he has better feet than Odeayi).
So, swings and roundabouts would like to see him on saturday.

Did anyone go last night and see him in action? Might have been rubbish.

Vaz Te?
I signed him for Barnsley on football manager 2008 and he turned out to be a decent player.
That doesn't mean anything does it?

Released by Hibs, replaced with O'connor. 1 goal in ten in the SPL. Sorry but that doesn't inspire confidence. Unless ofc Hill thinks, in the same way that Robins used to, that he can get something out of a player that his previous countless clubs and 8 years did not.

His record doesn’t fill me with confidence (Especially since he is a striker):
Bolton played 58 scored 3, Hull (Loan in 2007) played 6 scored 0, Panionios played 8 scored 1 and Hibernian played 10 scored 1.
I also noticed that he was with Panionios for only 6 months and Hibs signed him back in Feb before deciding to not renew his contract.
