Anyone ever lived in/been to Australia?

No, but I know so many Aussies that it's a bit like living there

And I was out there for 6 months once.

looking for serious responses now. Was it the Perth Area? Did you enjoy it? Do they drink a lot? How cheap are cigs?

A mate of mine who's a musician has. He loves the place.

When they first played there, apparently the customs asked them, "So lads, you got any drugs on you?" To which they of course answered a flat, "No."

Smirking, the guy said, "Still, won't be long though eh?" and waved them through.

I didn't actually get over to Perth but if it's like the rest of Australia be prepared for them to spend the whole time calling you a whinging pom and then get all annoyed when you dare say anything about Australia. But in general it's an amazing country, they do drink a lot but not as much as they think they do. I don't smoke so I have no idea how much the cigs are but I'd guess cheaper than here.

No one insults us Scots. Yeah my uncle is out there and he says its really laid back. But he's 73 and retired so i really can't see how we can compare.
