Great news, as we now won't lose him for the ACN in Jan.

Perhaps Pienaar has had enough with the South African management or FA.A bit like half the Jocks that choose not to play for the Scottish national team because Leivine is in charge, same goes with the Welsh players when Toshack was their manager

I'm really pleased he has quit the SA national team,it could give him another 2 years on his club playing career

Other than Vic and Gueye, do we have any other players going to the ACN in Jan?
If they are the only ones, then we'll be getting off more lightly than some clubs who rely on African players quite heavily.

Some individuals are not as nationalistic as others and some nations generate more pride for putting on the shirt than others. The likes of yourselves,Croatians and Irish you can see the pride on the terraces and on players faces, for others playing for your country is more of a duty than an honour
