Anyone ever lived/worked in the Perth Area?

And to keep it on the topic of football. Spurs are not very good.

I kno, I was purely labouring when I was out there, and doing a bit of electrics and I was getting the equivilant of £16 an hour, over double uk rates. Gotta work on tw girlfriend that Perth would be the better option to Sydney!

I was over in January seeing a Dutch mate of mine. He has now his own electricial contractors firm and has being doing lots of work on the many new appartments/penthouses that have sprung up on the coast. He's moved to a flashy place with sea-view in Freemantle and drives a Porsche Cayenne jeep

He arrived in Perth about 10 years ago as a normal electrician living in digs with a contract for a year and a cuople of thousand quid in his pocket - not bad

I know it's lame but I just couldn't leave the football.

Yeah i'm lucky that i'm in the right line of work. Being from Aberdeen it was easy to get into Oil and gas. Then it was just hard work. The money in Baku etc is where you make it though. That's proper bucks. I was out for a total of 16weeks last year and i think i earned more in that time than i did in the rest of the year. The money they are offering in Oz is good though. It's a year contract with the possibility of a futher 2 depending on work scopes. Even if i'm there for a year its still a year.

If you are earning enough money in Perth you will have a ball. You'll find that the people are friendly and after a few visits to the pub it'll be no time before you're buying 'rounds' with people you've met just a couple of days before.

I don't know if you're single or not but the girls/ladies in Perth love a bit of an accent

Might as well make it a nice round 50

---------------

Worse case scenario: it's an adventure.

Best case scenario: it's the start of a whole new life for you.

Exciting stuff and a win win situation I'd say!

Do it, my mate moved there 4 years ago and says he is never coming back, been out twice to see him and it is awesome.

Only prob he is a Man Ure fan. So when I say mate, I meant aquaintance.
