McClaren linked with another ex Boro player

After the signing of young George Boetang, Wally with the brolly character Steve McClaren is now after his ex Boro striker Ravanelli,Wally said Ravenelli can bring some experience to our club and we hope he can play long into his fifties much like Stanley Matthews, with George and Jonathon Greening at our club can now apply for goverment fuel allowance in the winter.

The extra payments from the goverment can help us bring long term target Bert Traughtman and another young player Bobby Chartlon from Man Utd is just coming back to fitness.

Don't panic Mr Mannering, who do you think you are kidding .....

Greening better than Danns, Boetang can't really be compared to Mills, different positions bought for different reasons

Poor lamb doesn't realise what a waste of space they've signed in Konchesky either. Bless em.

Neil Danns is 28, Matt Mills is 24 and Paul Konchesky is 30. Still loads left to offer.

Boateng is 35 and Greening is 32.
Good to see you've got long term plans .

Silly point scoring aside, does it really matter how old the individuals are? As a Leicester fan you may have missed the article where McClaren said he wanted to add experience "I want role models because the squad is relatively young". You'll be aware that our small and young squad petered out in the past two seasons and couldn't cut it in the play-offs. The experience is a good thing and maybe the "long term plan" is for them to bring others forward.

I could go into your signings which have been good if expensive: Danns is decent as is Mills (if a bit inconsistent and never worth £5M). Konchesky was possibly the biggest disappointment of the season just gone, he was pathetic. We'll see how you get on but you've certainly poked your head above the other poppies.

LloydX - I respect your comment. Finally a sensible one to read, and for me to be bothered to respond to.

I agree, it doesn't matter how old individuals are - We've got some oldies too - Howard, Oakley and maybe 1 or 2 more.

Greening is a very good player at this level, and i feel him and Reid may well run the show for you, with McGugan pushing on.

Our signings I am happy with, although I agree some prices seem a little steep - as when happens when you broadcast riches to everyone.

I think you will be there or there abouts this year, and i like to think we will be just above you.

Would be good if we both went up tbh - Restore some pride to the east midlands, and then we can both laugh at Derby!!

Cantlebabes & Kevskeg I'm truly devastated that you will be laughing at us next season.

We are truly disheartened for the forthcoming season.

Watch that your arrogance doesn't come back to bite you on the bum
