Corporate hospitality

For those lucky/unlucky enough to have been invited to a corporate hospitality box, what been your best/worst experiences?

As a lowly grahic designer, I've had printers invite me to three over the years.

The worst was a toss up between Crystal Palace v. Walsall in the Full Members Cup (late 1980s) - can't remember the score, freezing cold and it's a bummer of a ground to get to - and Chelsea v. Leeds in 2002. We lost 3-2, but the food was pretty good.

The best? Arsenal v. Leeds, May 2003 - in an Arsenal box!

Best has to be Liverpool v Newcastle (4-3) - what a game !! Best for pure hospitality has to be the club 100 at Everton - went quite often many years back & was very impressed. Have done Leeds 3 times at Bristol City and twice at Bristol Rovers which were also good. Worst has to be M a n u r e v Liverpool - what an overrated ground & carp atmosphere. Food was lousy as well.

About 8 years ago I got my company to sponsor the Bracknell Bees Ice Hockey team.....very basic hospitality, but the matches were great, free skating afterwards and we got to go ice karting (go karts with spiked wheels, and put worst salesman of the quarter in goal whilst a pro player hit pucks at him, that was the best bit

England v Netherlands in the Euros at Wembley, England actually played well and it was a great win

Was that the 4-1 match? One of our best performances I think.

I couldn't manage to get tickets for 'that' Bristol Rovers game on the last day in League One.

Bought two hospitality tickets instead, food was poor but great seats. Had a couple of Leeds Legends with us. All in all a good day, and worth the money (though I wasn't saying that at H/T!).

Jonty, yes 4-1. Started like they would play us off the pitch then after 15 mins we took control. Great game, which I watched through an alcoholic haze!

Beeston, I was in Dallas, avoided game and phone all day and girl from Fort Worth I was dating said she'd tape it.

Saw her in teh evening she said I have good news and bad news.

Good news is England won 4-1....I effed and blinded for 15 minutes that she'd told me the result, then she said bad news was she'd forgotten to tape it.

Relationship ended that evening.

Man city; been a few times in corporate seats because my uncel has a table their, seats are best ive sat in food is great, and they even mix away fans with home which was a nice touch, met summerbee or whatever he's called. (not my generation, so apologies) watched them get beat twice to everton and they won one against west ham. Overall enjoyed it.
