Embarassing performance by the entire City team except Hart. Its only 6 weeks into the season so all these mistakes can be rectified but mancini has to get the balance right.
A liverpool fan put it well tonight that Europe is all about tactics and luck and Mancini was out thought by the Dortmund coach tonight.Dortmund are a wonderful team and would have given the same treatment to united or Chelsea. We saw Chelsea ripped apart by the 6th team in laliga last season and united was torn a new one by Bilbao who I believe were 7th.
Dortmund were set up beautifully for an away game as they never played as well at home against Ajax.If City win both games against Ajax and Dortmund drop points against Real madrid then its a different ball game as the pressure is back on Dortmund.
I think their profligacy will cost them just as it cost City in the 1st half.
I have always said much to criticism from City fans that Aguero is not a natural goal scorer, never has been, and never will be.
Tevez still plays behind Sergio and Dzeko and Mario are substitute strikers.Mancini needs to get the front pairing right.I know the midfield and creation of chances is Citys biggest problem at the moment however the front pairing has to be right.
Rodwell passing back and sideways was just embarassing and Zabaletta as well as he drove forward he had some poor passes.
Still lots of time to fix things
Still 8 months left in the season

Obviously Dortmund are miles better.....
Is the point that difficult to understand?

PGM - you seem to think that results in two separate leagues is telling - telling what exactly?

PGM? Do you mean me?
How do I think that?????
Are you drunk?
What's telling is, and this is my point so I'll say it in capital letters for you....
ONLY THE CLUJ GOALKEEPER HAS HAD TO MAKE MORE SAVES THAN JOE HART.
THEREFORE MANCHESTER CITY ARE STRUGGLING DEFENSIVELY AS THEY ARE ALLOWING THEIR OPPONENTS TOO MANY SHOTS ON GOAL AND THEY CLEARLY NEED TO TIGHTEN UP AT THE BACK.
FFS, give me strength

chances at both ends ,silvas was the easiest ,he scores then all city have to do is point at the 64 % possesion and the wums take flight

IGM - City have played the Spanish and German champions - something none of the other teams have done - and the goalkeeper is part of the defence! The performances in other groups are irrelevant.

Didn't realise that Clunge had played teams that are on a par with Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, thanks for pointing out this worrying trend.

Don't bother borris he's too thick to understand the comparison he made.
As for the gooner talking about city flopping in Europe, I will say that had city had as many goes at it as arsenal have had then we would at least have won one.

The truth is that some of the players last night were not good enough for this type of European competition, what has gone wrong is up to the manager to sort out. Some how I feel that there is something going on in Roberto's life that we don't know about, and it is up to him to sort it out.
Last season he spent quite abit of time back in Itlay visiting his famil;y maybe 1 of his family is seriously ill, if that is the case then he should ask for some time off, and leave it to the coaching staff to carry on.

I disagree, the City defence were left exposed by the poor midfield display of players like Toure and Silva losing possesion and Rodwell who was clearly out of his depth. We needed hard working midfielders in that game like Barry and Milner but they were left on the bench and even when Mancini could see that the midfield were being overrun he brings on Rodwell ffs?
It's times like that when i hang my head at the sale of NDJ who was just what we needed last night.

All I was saying was that City needed to tighten up.
Why everyone got on the defensive I don't know.
