Panathinaikos are one of the biggest clubs in Greece, founded in 1908, and have won 20 Greek Titles, and 17 cups. Their last title came in 2010, where they also won the cup, completing the Double. The furthest Panathinaikos have come in a UEFA competition was when they were Runners-Up of the European Cup, where they lost 2-0 to Ajax at Wembley. They remain the only ever Greek team to have reached a European Final. They share the "Derby of the Eternal Enemies" with Olympiakos, and play at the Olympic Stadium in Athens, which can hold over 69,000 fans.
TEAM NEWS
Tottenham have no new injuries ahead of their Europa League Group J meeting with Panathinaikos in Greece, but they are still without Emmanuel Adebayor.
The striker is back in training after a hamstring injury and could return for Sunday's visit of Aston Villa.
Goalkeeper Brad Friedel has not travelled to Athens, so either Hugo Lloris or Carlo Cudicini will start.
Kyle Naughton (foot) and Jake Livermore (hernia) are likely to be back in action after the international break.
Younes Kaboul (knee), Scott Parker (Achilles) and Benoit Assou-Ekotto (knee) remain on the sidelines.
