Since last season I have been saying on here we should have got Mcloud back.
Last season he scored plenty of goals for lowly Barnet who almost got relegated.
Again this season I implored we sign him, yet Barnet let him go and Portsmouth picked him up for nothing.
He had scored 4 goals for them so far this season.
I am listening to the game on Dons World.
We are now 2 nil down after 20 minutes, McCloud has scored one and won a penalty, and is terrorising our defence.
We have had so many corners in recent games and make nothing from them, and we havent got a forward who can score.
Can we get any worse.
McCloud

Then came the second half, and Izale never got a look in.
Mind you think I would rather have him than McDonald.
And Lowe has been very dissapointing.
Next Sunday against Preston should be fun, with Kay suspended, and no natural central defenders.

Portsmouth did their homework and we were ambushed in the 1st half. I understand Big Mac is back next week if not Doumbe is available, which should strengthen the back line (although i was thinking we are missing Tom Flannagan when we went 2-0 down).
Even if Izale has lost a bit of pace it was a change to see a forward beating his defender. Well done for not overtly celebrating as well and well done Robbo for gambling with three at the back when we went 2 down, but please play Chico at right back.

Thing about Izale is...If we got promoted, he'd be another Charlie Mac/Jabo. A frustrating player who won't score us goals.
Granted he scored goals at League 2 level, but it's no coincidence why nobody in the Championship went for him.
First half he tore us apart, second he was non existant. Same old Izale. And if he done better today he'd have scored 3. Did he? No, and Pompey dropped points. If he'd score more today Pompey would have won.
We can sign him in January anyways...
...By the way no need to be harsh on Lowe, it's blatantly obvious he's being played the wrong way. Same with Charlie. 2 up front needed.

McMaccer, Portsmouth dropped 2 points? MK Dons were at home, Portsmorth are just hovering above the relegation places, MK Dons are supposed to be one of the favourites for promotion. Who dropped 2 points?
McLeod scored twice from the only 2 shots Portsmouth had on target. Mk Dons only scored once from the 7 shots on target they had.
Players are not performing because they are being played out of position, Jabo scored again today maybe Robbo and his team needs to start looking at the tactics and game plan and beg steal or borrow a striker.

Just because Portsmouth dropped two points doesn't mean we didn't drop two points either. We both dropped two points and will both be gutted with a point as we both feel we done enough for a win.
you seriously think (Despite you not being there and seeing how dominant they were) at 2-0, and possibly able to make it 3-4, they were thinking "I'd be happy with a point here.." ??? Really!?

Given thay only had 2 shots at goal, (well three if you count the own goal), yes, I reckon they were well pleased with a point away from home. Add to the fact the Portsmouth Manager said that he was happy with a point (I assume he did go to the game - he might have even had a better view than you)
Were they really that dominant for the 1st half or just until that waste of space Otsemobor went off?

They were dominant up untill the useless pile of nothing went off, yes, but the substitution, change of formation and tactics changed the game completley..
I reckon they'd be happy with a point, 100%, same as when we went to Sheff Wed a few years back, went 2-0 up, and ended up drawing 2-2, I was happy with a point but if you asked me at half time would I take a draw whilst we were in a dominant position and good goal distance, no I wouldn't have...
...Same as them, they were winning and winning well, they'd have wanted to win, but at the end of it would settle for the draw. Doesn't mean they didn't drop points.

Not sure if we salvaged a point or threw 2 away. We were lucky not to be 4 nil down half way through the first half. As far as I could see they should have had a clear second penalty.
Our defense - which has been fantastic, just went to sleep - why cannot we make the same kind of penetrating runs direct on goal and shoot?
By the end of the game I was frustrated we did not score a third. Some rubbish refering was going on. Smithy made a big impact coming on - and either him or Potter would have been my man of the match - how Bowditch was is a mystery - he had a poor game.
Yes we need a striker, but not Izale, he was only good in short spurts - a missed some real chances.
So came away feeling we were lucky to have a point, yet totally frustrated at the same time as we should be taking 3 points from these games !!

On a bad day ...
McDonald doesn't get there in time.
Powell takes a touch too many.
Gleeson allows himself to get riled.
Smith makes tackles that draw attention to himself.
Chicksen is on the bench.
On a better day ...
McDonald works harder to get there in time.
Powell takes more chances.
Gleeson plays fluidly and calmly.
Smith holds up the ball well and tackles strongly and cleanly.
Chicksen plays.
Portsmouth was a bad day. Hold your nerve, chaps. Better days are ahead.
