Who's Next?

Hello there all.

I have refrained from posting for a while apart from a few jokes here and there as it was getting a little tetchy. I feel now though after today's result that it can no longer be seen as inflammatory to begin discussing where we should go now once Coyle has hopefully been removed from his position in the coming days.

For me I would like to see us go for either Di Canio or Solskjaer. Everyone knows Di Canio is an absolute nutcase but there's no doubt he gets the best out of players and he tells players who think they're too good for the club exactly where to stick it (something our club needs right now IMO). He also gets results though and got Swindon promoted with ease once he had sorted their problems out following a slide down the leagues. He is therefore my number 1 choice.

Number 2 would be Solskjaer. He won the league with Molde in his first managerial role so clearly has some tactical nouse. He has also recently stated that he would be interested in the Blackburn post so I think this shows him to be a realistic target.

So those are my choices, who would you like to see take the role? Realistic choices only please, no Essien-esque nonsense.

Also, as a side dish, how many of us think Gartside should also pack his bags? I would vote yes - Sammy Lee = huge error, Gary Megson = huge error, throwing money at the wrong managers and not Allardyce = huge error, allowing Coyle too much time = huge error (all purely my opinion, which as Coyle told us, doesn't mean it's right).

I think we can rule out a scouser, a ginger or a scot.

TBH I would take anyone at the moment apart from HWMNBN, the form along with confidence must be at rock bottom and anyone in doing the job would get better results. I must admit the current set up is totally demoralising me and i need a boost before my season ticket finds its way onto ebay. I will always be a trotter but i don't want to waste much more time going watching, after 34 years as a ST holder it is all a little dissapointing.

I would go as far as to say Steve Kean is a better manager

Would never go for Di Canio. He will ultimately fail as a manager. I know the temptation after having someone like Coyle who seems too pally with the players is to go with someone who likes to shout all the time, but that has its own problems in the long run. Or to quote Yeltsin; "You can build a throne with bayonets, but it's difficult to sit on it for very long."

I would go for Steve Bould. Has revolutionised Arsenal's defence, ball playing philosophy after years coaching at Arsenal and managed one of the most successful academy teams in the country. Lack of senior management, but ticks all other boxes for me.
