Robin Van Persie. He is one of the WORLD'S most technically gifted players, with a killer left foot, great positioning, creative, and can pass the ball well. He scores and assists. If he could stay fit, he'd go over the 30 goal mark easily. He can head the ball better, take better freekicks, better link-up play better everything.
The only thing that makes Tevez seem good is his incredible work rate. He works like a dog (looks like one too - but we can debate that another day) and that's about it.
An excerpt from a bbc article today -
" Goals from the Argentine have come at a rate of one every 125.6 minutes, a ratio that, when compared with players who have scored at least 15 goals during that time, is only bettered by Arsenal's Dutch international Robin van Persie (112.0)"
Now, we've already established why Van Persie is better than Tevez, but lets ask the question - how MUCH BETTER would Van Persie be had he stayed fit for the whole course of the campaign for the last two seasons?
A lot.
Oh...and who's more loyal? I'll leave you Blues to decide -
Robin Van Persie >>> Carlos Tevez

Tevez IS fit to tie the lace on RVP's chocolate leg............. but not his good one.

2 class players in fairness. I just want to see VanP have ONE full season to show what he can do. Saying that I dont know any other player that can hit the ground running after an injury better than him.

RVP is a technically excellent player and finisher but i do think his praise is getting a little out of hand. I would say that he's a slightly better overall player than Tevez but there's not a big gap.
Rooney, RVP and Tevez all have an element of playmaker about them but also are great goalscorers, these are the best strikers in the premier league IMO.

But he can't stay fit so what is the point ?

RVP is more of a team player... as good a player as Herman is Balotelli and Dzeko will be better players for Herman leaving and Aguero (proberly wont score 21 league goals) but as a team we WILL BE BETTER FOR HIM LEAVING!

It does seem like his legs are made of chocolate but I have a feeling(maybe im just being optimistic) this could finally be his first full season!

they are both quality players. Not much really between them, to the extent that if we did not have RvP then Tevez would make one hell of a replacement
