I know this topic has been raging recently, and instead of pointing fingers at Welbeck, Young and Suarez who have all been guilty recently, I want to point fingers at John Arne Riise!
His dive recently was pathetic, the worst dive I have ever ever ever seen in football. Why has more not been made of this?
Stone him!
That is all
Diving

Jumping was surely the logical way to protect himself
Falling down was to win the free

He did pull his left leg away from where the keeper would have been swinging so I think it was partly to protect himself. However, the keeper stopped his left foot dead in the turf in an almost stubbing motion and made Bale look like a right tool. It was a dive, no doubt about it. The thing is, if the keeper had continued his swing and either missed or connected, more people would accept that Bale was protecting himself. Unfortunately for Bale that didn't happen.

If I had been Bale then I wouldn't have left myself in the way of that almighty punt that Guzan looked to be lining up. Personally, I would have jumped in the air and pulled my heels up to my backside to make sure I was safe. Bale decided to take the dive instead and try to win the freekick, but I doubt any of us would have opted to stay in the path of a swing from an onrushing 6ft 4" brute.

as the king say's...the avoiding getting clattered does hold some sway....
but you jump out the way...not dive out the way.....
he was hoping for awin win really...avoid getting clattered...but get the foul...
and he's a cheat..plain and simple...

I thought diving was part of Sir Alex Fergusons tactics to win games?
Win if you can. Lose if you must but ALWAYS cheat!

Fans of teams that never win coming on here and giving out about the win at all cost attitude.
I'd rather win dirty than the happy smiling guys who win nothing.
