Haf what were your thoughts on the game??

It would always be St James Park to me regardless of what name the sponsors decided. These corporates really do think of us fans as planks.

Just shows that stadium naming rights can really only be exploited by a few clubs and even then it is unlikely to make a massive difference. Any potential shirt sponsor will reduce its bids if the naming rights are held by someone else and if the shirt and stadium naming rights are held by the same company then it won't really fetch them any significant extra exposure. So its arguably going to be of limited value really.

Never called it anything but St James Park since the "name change"

Everyone knows Newcastle's ground as St James' Park. Always have, always will!

I wonder if the etihad gets renamed back to eastlands whatever it was before.

We were good in all areas. Attacked fast at the start. slowed it down when we needed to and the did the plunge for the 3rd goal to finish newcastle hopes or belief.
