Henry vs Rooney?

Hi guys I've been following this site for quite a while and I've finally decided to join.

Interesting debate arose between me and my friends who are man united supporters, they seem to think that Wayne Rooney is a better player than Thierry Henry ever was. I just laughed at them, Wayne is a talented footballer but not in the same league as Henry. They think that Rooney helping to defend makes him superior. Strikers are judged on goals and assists so defending is irrelevant but my friends are insistent that Rooney is better. I told them Henry 4 time golden boot winner in 8 seasons compared to Rooney's 0. Also Henry was in the PFA team of the year 6 seasons in a row etc. All they say is Rooney is a better and more complete player because he defends a lot which I think is a stupid thing to say

This is not a dig at Rooney as I think he is a quality player but my friends are really irritating me by comparing him to Henry.

What are your thoughts guys? Vote 4* for Henry and 3* for Rooney. No wumming please.
